Review

An urban fantasy romance set in Seoul  south Korea where the main character is a Gumiho who devours the energies of men to survive.
The book starts out with our main character Gu Miyoung hunting a man to suck out his Gi(energy),.Our other main character Ahn Jihoon meanwhile is your typical angsty teenager. This book also focuses on the family relations and the strong friendship aspect.
The setting is new and I appreciate that the author just didn’t assume everyone to be familiar with it and slowly eased us into the world. The use of Korean language and descriptive writing will make you feel like you are in Seoul .
It had some really shocking twists and turns that will leave you feeling betrayed .The ending is full of mysteries.
author introduces a world that begs for more page time and leaves plenty to explore.

Conclusion

Author did a great work with the book she is thinking to make this big YA fantasy series with many parts to come . Overall the book is great but with some faults in it especially the ending is suspensive and little confusing.but give it a try  you will love it and will eagerly wait for other parts to come.

About Author

Kat Cho used to hide books under the bathroom sink and then sneak in there to read after bedtime. Her parents pretended not to know. This helped when she decided to write a dinosaur time-travel novel at the tender age of nine. Sadly, that book was not published. She currently lives and works in NYC and spends her free time trying to figure out what kind of puppy to adopt.
